On various visits to Westward Ho! we have cycled the Traka Trail and walked most of the Clovelly to Westward Ho! coast.
Tarka Trail – Hire bikes from Bideford or take your own. It’s very flat as it’s the old railway line with plenty of shade. For food & drink stops go for the Old Station @ Torrington and “The Bar” @ Instow.
Clovelly to Westward Ho! – This is quite a stretch if your not a regular walker, great views and plenty of up and down stretches as you drop to the beach then up to the tops of the cliffs. Try the Hoops Inn for Food and Bucks Cross as a halfway stop.
